How to Fight A Game in the
Pyramid League
- Challenge another player to a game of
Warhammer. Players are organised into a pyramid structure like the
one above. You can challenge anyone in the row above you, and you
can be challenged by anyone in the row below you.
- You MUST answer a challenge within
3 weeks, or you forfeit your position to your challenger. Also note
that you can't fight the same person twice in a row. This means
that if you'd like to fight the same person above you again, you
must first either answer a challenge from below, or challenge someone
else above you.
- It is up to you and your opponent to
agree on how many points and which scenario to use before the battle.
This can be anything you like, just as long as you play a game of
Warhammer. You can also choose to use any additional rules that
you want, from allowing special characters to playtesting your own
weird and wonderful ideas. If you can’t agree upon what sort of
game to play, use the ‘standard’ rules given below.
- Play the game.
- Make sure someone who is running the
pyramid knows the result of your battle.
- If you beat the person you challenged,
you move into their row, and they fall down into your row.
‘Standard’ Rules
Choose a 2000 point army from Ravening
Hordes or the appropriate Warhammer Armies book, subject to the following
restrictions:
- No Special Characters
- Dogs of War units may be taken by any
army as a Rare choice as discussed in WD251.
- Play a random scenario using the chart
on page 197 of the Warhammer rulebook. Roll before you set up any
terrain, as the scenario will recommend a suitable layout.
Joining the Pyramid
You can join the pyramid at any
point, just find the organiser and ask them to add your name. You will
start off on the bottom row, but with a few good results you could be
challenging for the top spot in no time!
